Job description

Overview:
The Product Manager role will support shaping the direction of our products/solutions and assist driving our company’s innovation and growth efforts. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and executive product strategies through concepting, scoping, and go-to-market phases that align with business objectives.

This professional can work in a hybrid capacity.
Responsibilities:
  • Solution Vision – Collaborate to develop clear and compelling solutions that align with our overall goals and company strategy. Contribute to the vision/strategy/roadmap/development for assigned areas.
  • Solution Development – Support in creating and maintaining a clearly defined business development strategy aligned to markets and product offerings (go-to-market). Support the shift to a product-led business development process. Bring new solution sets in partnership and aligned with stakeholders. Play a role in user acceptance testing plan, end-to-end test plans, and support release.
  • Market Research - Compiling market data to support identification of market trends across different verticals. Understanding customer needs from a buy and end-user.
  • Product Roadmap – Create and manage the product roadmap by prioritizing features and enhancements along with new solutions. Update management on status of various projects and collaborate in creating executive-level presentations.
  • Collaboration – Work cross-functionally with analysts, technical product development, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful product development and execution + delivery. This includes identifying, evaluating, and envisioning new products as well as designing enhancements to existing products. Participate in project planning activities.
  • Customer-Centric Approach – Must think about funders (clients) that are funding our programs as well as end-users (patients) to create new programs and continuously develop them for stronger impacts. Serve as product expert to commercial teams and other on product capabilities, roadmaps, and release schedules. Assist in commercialization strategy.
  • Market trends – Stay current on market trends within our current spaces and stay informed about potential competitors.
  • Innovation – Identify and explore new ways to innovate on our current solutions and bring new solutions to our key clients. To inform innovation, make sure to develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge and expertise.
  • Strategic Partnerships – Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders across Quest Diagnostics as needed to achieve goals of the anticipated solutions.
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years in product development, strategy, or related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft products
  • Product development processes
  • Development of MVP (minimal viable product) experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Products, and Outlook
  • Ability to compile a strategic plan.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage various projects that are in-flight.
  • Strong time management and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and methods. Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to distill down complicated data.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and growing products.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Ex. JIRA).
  • Ability to work as a team, be coachable, and collaborate with people across different functions.
