Based out of Torrington, Connecticut, you will provide regulatory leadership by developing and implementing regulatory strategies to achieve business and manufacturing strategies while accounting for regulatory threats, opportunities, constraints, and future changes. Salary Range: $78,622 - $96,522
Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of our company's total compensation packages for employees.

About You
We're seeking a resulted-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Product Regulatory Specialist. Based out of Torrington, Connecticut, you will provide regulatory leadership by developing and implementing regulatory strategies to achieve business and manufacturing strategies while accounting for regulatory threats, opportunities, constraints, and future changes. Also, by maintaining an acute awareness of regulatory issues and current developments in assigned geographic and technical areas. In addition, you will:
- Meet Dymax Regulatory and Compliance needs by implementing corporate Product Regulatory standards, procedures, systems, and processes in compliance with regional regulations and standards where products are sold
- Ensure regulatory compliance of Dymax products throughout their lifecycles by managing thorough management of change, deviations, exemptions, and notifications while collaboratively leading employee engagement in Operations, Quality Assurance, R&D, Business Operations, and other departments
- Manage new chemical and Product Regulatory introductions through planning, scheduling, and coordinating regulatory submissions worldwide, and by managing follow-up and documentation requirements
- Prepare and maintain technical files, databases, and systems by utilizing company approved tools and systems to manage regulatory issues, including enterprise system and regulatory/SDS authoring and label creation software
- Prepare regulatory compliance documents by communicating compliance status for regulation and standards including GHS, CLP, REACH, Conflict Mineral, California Prop 65, and IMDS
- Communicate regulatory changes that impact Dymax products by providing timely regulatory expertise, in interdepartmental working groups throughout the organization, for assigned projects or segments related to approved products
Requirements
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree in related fields of study to the position or equivalent work experience with local/regional regulations of chemical substances and/or SDS authoring.
- Knowledge of domestic and international chemical regulations, specifically GHS, HCS2012, WHIMS, CLP, and global REACH regulations. Nice to have: knowledge of regulatory agencies in Canada
- 5+ years of industry related experience with chemical databases, SDSs, labels, life cycle management, product registration, and regulatory compliance.
- Travel up to 15% globally
- Advanced knowledge and experience with SDS authoring software. Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, and other computer programs used for data generation and tracking.
- Current DOT/IATA/IMDG training
