Position:
As a Product Owner at OBI, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the success of the company. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, design, marketing, and customer support, to ensure the successful execution of the product roadmap.
You will be entrusted with defining and refining the product backlog, employing a keen sense of prioritization that reflects both immediate business value and long-term strategic goals. Drawing upon your experience in agile methodologies, you will guide the team through the product development life cycle, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams.
As a PRODUCT OWNER, you will be responsible for articulating the stakeholder vision to internal teams, fostering a shared understanding of the product roadmap and its alignment with overarching business objectives. Adaptability and strategic agility are key, as you navigate the dynamic landscape of market trends and emerging opportunities, adjusting the product roadmap as needed to keep us at the forefront of industry innovation. This position will work closely with the Strategic Software Solutions team and will mentor and/or supervise the team to achieve overall project success. This assistance will be needed throughout the product's development life cycle. The role will possess the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the Strategic Software Solutions team in a professional, fast- paced environment, demonstrating technical knowledge, problem-resolution skills, and a responsive, friendly, service-oriented work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Prior Experience as an Agile Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Project Manager highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products including, at a minimum, Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Knowledge of DevOps or TFS.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements.
- Create and maintain a well-defined product backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and communicate a clear product roadmap aligned with business goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure product strategy aligns with overall company objectives.
- Collaborate with development, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient product development process.
- Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, facilitating communication and understanding.
- Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing issues and risks proactively.
- Advocate for a positive user experience and work closely with design teams to ensure user-centric product development.
- Communicate professionally at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Monitor status of developing software.
