POSITION:  Product Owner Lead - HUD

LOCATION: Portland, Oregon

What you will be doing:

 

  • Partner with collaborators, stakeholders, and other Product Owners in close alignment to a global UX Strategy.
  • Responsible for vision, mission, and roadmaps for accountable platform(s) and their coexistence and interoperability within JLR systems.
  • Responsible for vendor management
  • Accountable for Statements of Work, Request for Information, Request for Proposal, Request for Quotes, and similar communications with vendors.
  • Translate company strategy, business objectives, system-architecture and voice of the customer into clear,  concrete product increments, epics, user stories, functional specifications, and other assets to ensure project alignment and transparency for collaborators, sponsors, and project contributors
  • Gather, generate, and align objectives from business partners, designers, developers, project managers, and other functions within our business, guiding them into functional requirements
  • Act as a representative for products throughout the development lifecycle to ensure outputs meet stakeholder needs, participating in and leading key agile meetings, and resolving scope and technical conflicts
  • Communicate product status to all partners, including executive leadership
  • Have ownership of product requirements and roadmaps while contributing to business reviews, strategies, and collaboration between teams
  • Design or adapt processes as the basis for feature intake and gathering business requirements
  • Work closely with strategy, product management, Product Owners and other business functions to evaluate the business, technical, and strategic projects which may contribute to Jaguar Land Rover's development
  • Lead multiple projects and teams and contribute to efforts involving multiple teams
  • Provide training and support to members of the team
  • Embed with and lead autonomous teams to deliver throughout product stages
  • Other duties as assigned
What you will need:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years professional experience as a Product Owner, product manager, or equivalent
  • Experience with visual systems, displays, or similar required
  • Experience with vendor selection and management required
  • Professional experience in software development, engineering, or similar field required
  • Professional experience delivering customer facing products to production required
  • Ability to present complex topics and report on project status to senior level management
  • Ability to act as a representative of Jaguar Land Rover to external partners
  • Professional Agile/Scrum experience
  • Excellent collaboration, observational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills alongside the desire and ability to see things from multiple perspectives 
  • You must be resourceful, conscientious, and self-motivated 
  • You must be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships while advocating for meaningful improvements to our customer experiences
