The Opportunity:
The Product Manager II is a key member of our Product Management Division. As the market and subject matter expert, this position is responsible for driving revenue growth for the assigned product category/categories by utilizing creative thinking and problem solving throughout the entire product development and commercialization processes. They must represent the Voice of Customer in order to bring value to Marketlab’s product offerings.
This role will focus on our expanding Specialty Cart business and reports to the Director, Brand Development.
Functional/Technical Competencies
- Product Lifecycle Management & Business Ownership: Manage the entire end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial concept through to market launch, growth, scaling, and potentially phaseout. Develop and implement strategies for success with assigned product categories.
- Understand the delineation of market and channel for assigned products to create a clear vision of how each product will be sold and the target customer.
- Strong Business Acumen: Develop strategic plans and utilize a strong understanding of portfolio planning and optimization. Conduct Voice of Customer assessments to ensure we are meeting customer needs and deploying a strong value proposition.
- Research & Design: Establish a deep understanding of consumer needs to ensure design decisions are driven forward and that our top-quality, innovative products are meeting the end user’s needs.
- Create and develop new product opportunities and visions.
- Utilize creative-thinking and problem-solving skills in order to stay proactive and adjust to emerging market trends.
- Data Analytics: Define, analyze, and report on KPIs that capture the value customers are receiving, ultimately relying on data driven decision making. Utilize data collected to proactively respond to industry trends.
- Market Analysis: Use knowledge of industry trends and organizations to remain fluent on current medical designs, solutions, and problems in the market. The Product Manager II, will be the subject matter expert of their assigned product(s).
- Display a strong understanding of emerging trends, tech, and category financials.
- Gather and communicate relevant data; including product data, web analytics, statistics, consumer trends, etc.
- Customer Focus: Seek and deliver information proactively to assist with the customer’s circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Build positive rapport and cooperative relationships that influence the product offering.
- Negotiation: Build value of preferred product alternatives by relating them to the customer’s needs, ultimately resulting in the customer taking action on Marketlab products. Address customer hesitations by emphasizing product value.

What You’ll Do:
- Engage directly with customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Visit customers and conduct interviews and panel discussions with end users, attend trade shows, business reviews, etc. (25-50% travel).
- Provide technical support to internal stakeholders with a deep understanding of product(s).
- Support category reviews for the enterprise leadership team.
- Conduct SKU and supplier rationalizations.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care to review customer feedback and answer questions.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop marketing materials.
- Conduct regular product trainings with Marketing, Sales, and customers to ensure they understand the vision necessary for a successful product launch.
- Conduct national brand vendor discussions, strategic supplier meetings, and business reviews.
- Assess existing product offerings and create a plan to optimize commercialization.
- Create and implement both short and long-term product roadmaps.
- Analyze data trends to identify and develop tools and strategies to proactively respond to industry changes.
- Establish business cases for new product development opportunities.
- Sponsor and lead product development projects through existing processes.
- Support and provide category reviews for the enterprise leadership team.
What You’ll Need:
The ideal candidate will have…
- Bachelor's degree in business or related clinical/technical field is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management and 3+ in furniture product management preferred.
- General healthcare market awareness.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to make quick, evidence-based decisions using data.
- Proficient in standard office software (Microsoft or Google Workspace).
