OBJECTIVE: We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Channel Product Manager based in our Pleasantville, NY office. This position works 3 days per week in the office and the rest from home. The Channel Product Manager needs to be a self-motivated, creative, strategic and a tactical thinker and planner, balancing the needs of both brand image and sales. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience with product development, pricing and working on or with the Sales and Special Events team. The Channel Product Manager should be able to effectively manage and organize multiple projects. They will begin the product lifecycle: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the Category Product Managers, Marketing Communications, Sales, outside suppliers, headquarters in Germany, and other essential stakeholders to deliver winning products. This role will focus on product for the warehouse club and special events sales channels, specifically.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Channel Product Manager will report to the Director of Product Development and be responsible to:
- Collaborate with internal teams (Category Product Managers, Sales / Special Events Team, SCM, CS, Finance) to develop and manage product timelines to ensure all critical go-to-market dates are met from development phase through to final delivery/launch
- Align with cross-category Product Managers to identify and work on appropriate product offerings for the Special Events / Warehouse Club customer requests and meeting presentations
- Develop and maintain product related Special Events / Warehouse Club channel financial sheets (pricing and margins, etc.) as required by company
- Maintain and update Special Events / Warehouse Club channel price lists, and recommend assortment changes
- Partner and negotiate with factories on timing and building product specifications according to target product pricing
- Coordinate with SCM and CS teams to ensure all key timing milestones are being hit to maintain on time launches
- Partner with the Warehouse Club Sales team on factory audits and support audit related needs
- Provide critical input / product information for marketing materials, packaging artwork and POS items. Approve all product and marketing-related elements
- Manage the internal Product Development Process gate approvals, working closely with our HQ innovation, quality and purchasing teams to ensure all proper information is documented and uploaded
- Conduct and collect competitive/market research and information to identify opportunities and trends within the warehouse club and special event channels
- Ensure proper data management and set-up of new items in global Product Content Management (PCM) and internal local SAP systems
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree with minimum of 5 years product management experience, preferably from a branded, CPG company
- Experience working with warehouse clubs and direct importing is strongly preferred
- Strong communicator and team player with the ability to integrate and work effectively with cross-functional teams, especially with Sales team
- Effective and persuasive verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
- Passionate, high-energy, flexible, resourceful, self-starter, and multi-tasker. The candidate should work well in fast-paced environments and be able to manage multiple projects
- Ability to facilitate and accelerate the business relationship based upon an understanding of the customer. Includes the ability to actively listen and engage in conversation to uncover relevant information, resources and solutions
- Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, attention to accuracy and strong mathematical abilities
Base Salary Range: $85000-100000.00 Contingent Upon Experience
