This position will leverage both your technical know-how as well as your creativity as you will be bringing products and features to market from the ground up and touching every part of the process.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Software and Tools, the Product Manager will join our team in working on new and exciting technology and business models in the enterprise data storage industry. We need someone who can help develop and solve our requirements and needs with a focus on customer experience.
The customers will consist of both external customers of Seagate as well as internal stakeholders that leverage the tools we build to run the business.
You will:
- Contribute to portfolio management of integrated, internal and customer facing software products across web, mobile and desktop environments
- Build internal tools and customer facing applications using no-code platforms as well as with other traditional development tools
- Integrate the applications you build with both internal and external systems and work closely with other organizations in Seagate, such as IT, to coordinate requirements, design, development timelines and releases
- Uncover and understand customer (Internal & External) needs and translate them into requirements.
- Solution customer needs (internal & external) and translate them into documentation, diagrams and technical requirements documents and user stories.
- Gain a deep understanding of cross-system architecture and data flow and be able to communicate and analyze impacts of upcoming or proposed additions or changes to the software ecosystem.
- Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
- Provide internal and/or customer training/support on how to use the product.
- Answer incoming questions about the product(s) and its capabilities.
- Assess and address technical risks from both a security and architectural standpoint
- Understand and analyze data pipelines and automated systems.
- Advise on architectural & security best practices.
- Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the internal stakeholders.
- Be part of proof-of-concept, UAT, beta tests for software solutions.
- Use data to analyze performance indicators, evaluate experiments, etc.
- Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
- Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
- Gain a deep understanding of overall product and business strategy & roadmap to make informed decisions on priorities, design and understand impact of changes.

Your experience includes:
- A strong knack for user experience design and robust understanding of key concepts of good user experience
- Killer Lucid Chart/Visio and documentation skills
- Experience managing enterprise level SaaS products in web or desktop environments
- Experience with and knowledge of the hardware solutions such as HDD, SSD or similar
- You have a business perspective on the storage market
- Understanding of key technical concepts such as APIs, authentication & data/object structures
- Experience in managing and communicating timelines to key stakeholders
- Examples of executing technical projects from start to finish
- Proven ability to work through technical issues to find solutions to problems / bugs / etc.
- Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
- Master's degree or 2+ years of experience in system/software architecture and development with 2+ years of experience in product, program, or project management

,The estimated base salary range for this position: $70,761.00 - $101,200.00. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which the position is located based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
