Our client is looking for a Product Management Lead to help grow the capabilities of their current IoT product targeted at commercial customers.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in wireless communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, LoRa, ZigBee, and others. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both desktop and cloud-based software, as the company is transitioning a software application from C++ to a cloud-based platform. This individual will be instrumental in managing the full spectrum of hardware, software, and communication technologies within the organization.
Responsibilities:
*Collaborate with internal teams and contractors, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations, to translate customer needs into product requirements
*Oversee the shift of a desktop software application to a cloud-based platform, ensuring a seamless transition and enhanced reliability
*Provide strategic direction and oversight to product development teams, identifying customer needs through research and translating these insights into actionable product roadmaps
*Work closely with engineering teams to develop products that integrate standard communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, LoRa, ZigBee, etc., ensuring interoperability and energy efficiency with Bacnet IP, Rest service, API connection with Building Automation Systems
*Maintain a strong understanding of cloud-based software advantages, scalability, and deployment to inform product development strategies
*Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical concepts in an accessible manner
*Stay abreast of industry standards for technical support training and ensure compliance with these standards within the team
Requirements:
*Bachelor"s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field preferred; advanced degree preferred
*At least 5-7 years of experience in a technical Product Management role, with a proven track record of leading successful product development initiatives
*Strong technical background with hands-on experience in wireless communication technologies and software development
*Experience in transitioning desktop applications to cloud-based solutions
*Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
*Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously
