Description:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Aerospace or Mechanical engineering degree is preferred
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with machining, forming, and welding
  • Teamcenter, MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel experience
  • Experience working across a highly matrixed organization, including team members, suppliers, and customers
  • Experience leading multifunctional teams
  • Experience with task detail planning, budget planning and project execution

Responsibilities:

POSITION ROLE TYPE:

Onsite
The Product Line IPT Lead is responsible for full execution of supplier transitions for Environmental and Airframe Control Systems (EACS), including supplier transitioning work from one supplier to another, typically but not limited to buy-to-buy. The Product Line Engineer IPT Lead manages detailed planning and execution, ensuring all critical program milestones are met and resources required to execute are available during the transition, including all phases of the activity all with a can-do attitude.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a multifunctional Product Line team to develop and execute supplier transition plans
  • Develop and manage Product Line transition work scope, resources and schedules
  • Work with suppliers during all phases of the transition
  • Interface between Product Line Engineering and the Supply Chain, Commodity and Strategic Sourcing organizations
  • Present to Engineering and Program Management as well as customers
  • Collaborate with customers (Internal and External) and suppliers
  • Represent the Power and Control Product Line in transition risk and gate reviews
  • Track and report transition activities including budget, schedule, risk and key action
