Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate policy applications to assess each risk, indicate endorsements and limits, determine pricing, etc.
- Exercise strong underwriting ability
- Promote an underwriting culture based in offering creative solutions for broker partners
- Engage in a supportive team culture that promotes collaboration, honesty, integrity, and values feedback and new ideas to drive growth
- Collaborate in team meetings and actively engage in open dialogue with colleagues
- Actively plan and engage in marketing initiatives
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
- Cross-sell afforded products and services
- Travel assigned territory for broker visits, industry events - roughly 10% of the time
Minimum Knowledge, Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or relevant education/ experience.
- Extensive experience as a Product Liability Underwriter.
- Proven ability to produce at a high level.
- Exercise outstanding written and oral communication skills including presentation skills
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
Additional Certifications that are a plus:
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
- Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)
- Associate in Insurance (AINS) or equivalent insurance designation
