Position Summary
The Supervisor, Product Inspection and Labeling is responsible for overseeing all processes and technicians in the Product Inspection and Labeling department while strictly adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are being adhered to throughout the Inspection and Labeling process
  • Supervises technicians, production output and monitors workflow
  • Conducts regular trainings with technicians to ensure the team is compliant and operating efficiently
  • Reviews documentation regularly to mitigate documentation errors and correct immediately
  • Operates all equipment utilized in the Inspection and Labeling department. (Vial labeler, inspection light box, light meter, label printer)
  • Ensures that the proper supplies are ordered in a timely manner to guarantee production continuity
  • Works closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that operations are compliant
  • Enforces department processes, policies, and procedures
  • Completes weekly timecards and other attendance policy tasks for the Inspection and Labeling technicians
  • Communicates job expectations; evaluates performance; coaches, and issues disciplinary action if needed
  • Conducts interviews, selects, trains and mentors newly hired technicians within the department
  • Provides the required support to ensure adherence to the production schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Excellent task and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with all levels of management
  • Must be able to perform rudimentary mathematical calculations
  • Effective problem solving, strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills

Experience and Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma / (GED) is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience directly supervising employees, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing employees, required
  • Minimum 1 year experience with cGMP or similarly regulated environment required
  • Previous Inspection and Labeling experience preferred
