Job Title: Product Development Coordinator

Compensation: $50K-$60K

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday

Location: Centerville, Utah

Status: Full-time

WholesomeCo is leading the movement to normalize cannabis as a natural path to health and wellness. Various medical cannabis services are offered, including statewide delivery to 99% of Utah's population, as well as retail, drive-thru, online pick-up services through its pharmacy in West Bountiful, an in-house built app for patients, innovative technology resources, cannabis cultivation, and cannabis processing of our constantly growing line of WholesomeCo branded products. Our vertically integrated company is well known for its technology-driven approach, our focus on data, and perpetual  innovation. WholesomeCo is committed to improving medical cannabis accessibility by putting patients' needs first and guiding them along their personal cannabis journeys. Our company is in search of a Product Development coordinator to execute tasks in relation to enhancing our current portfolio, as well as collaborating with leadership on new Product Development.

 

Responsibilities include:

Product Management

  • Assists with Product Development at the various stages required, including product lifecycle across new, core and sunsetted products. Collaborate with leadership on all activities to ensure the optimal product line including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning & roadmap development.
  • Works with the production team to define quality standards, and follows up on the implementation of quality standards.
  • Supports proactive cost reduction initiatives by identifying and quantifying cost saving opportunities, and project managing the execution of opportunities that have been prioritized.
  • Partners with customer-facing teams to uncover customer needs and/or feedback that can influence Product Development, either through surveys, focus groups, or shadowing customer interactions.
  • Serves as a liaison between WholesomeCo customer support and the cultivation/production team. Provides customer feedback to the production team and follows up to ensure issues are investigated and the loop is closed with customer support. 
  • Owns and manages fundamental product information and documentation for cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of product information.
  • Project manages weekly tasks and deliverables to keep production on track from a product management standpoint.
  • Provides regular reporting on product performance to inform future product management strategy.

Product Development & Introduction

  • Assists head of Product Development with new product business cases by researching and compiling high-level product use cases, equipment and formulation requirements, costs, revenue potential, and ROI.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and vendors to define, design and deliver new products.
  • Project manages weekly tasks and deliverables to keep key dates and milestones on track from a Product Development and introduction standpoint.
  • Coordinates with designers, developers and testers to create functional specifications and compelling packaging.
  • Works with cultivation/processing technical leaders to ensure successful product launches including but not limited to sourcing packaging, labels, cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, etc), and terpenes (or other input materials per product specs), marketing collateral and internal bulletins. 
  • Provides regular reporting on new product performance versus goals.
  • Creates and distributes product-specific material to sales, pharmacy team and customer support. 
  • Supports sales and demand team with product education materials and occasionally supports live trainings.
  • Other job duties as needed to achieve Product Development goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years related experience with assisting or leading assigned project roadmaps.
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on Product Development, technology, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with multiple elements of the Product Development lifecycle
  • Previous experience delivering finely-tuned product marketing strategies
  • Experience within the cannabis industry or knowledge of the cannabis industry is a bonus.
  • Comfortable presenting to both internal and external audiences.
  • Great organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to execute flawlessly.
  • Strong ability to work across a variety of tasks with varying deadlines and priorities. Knows how to manage time and get things done in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast paced, with a growth mindset.
  • Confidence in assisting project-management functions to a common deadline or goal.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Must pass a pre-employment/post-offer background check.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
