Charter Dura-Bar is seeking a Product and Market Manager to join their Sales and Marketing organization!
Join Dura-Bar, the world's largest producer of continuous cast iron bar stock, as a Product and Market Manager. This position is around 30% travel and offers remote work flexibility!
The Product and Market Manager will:
- Drive product marketing strategies and programs to achieve stated revenue, profitability, and Market share objectives for assigned segments, utilizing traditional and innovative marketing/product approaches, tools, and methodologies.
- Work with the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager to develop the overall comprehensive strategic plan and Dura-Bar's presence in the targeted market segments.
- Lead efforts to evaluate trends in assigned segments and/or markets to determine segment presentation opportunities and strategies.
- Team up with the Field Sales organization to develop deep relationships with key customers within the segment. Collaborate to develop and execute marketing plans and programs.
- Partner with other departments to support portfolio optimization and new product launches.
- Ensure business-wide awareness of competitive landscape, market development opportunities, and potential technological advantages that clearly tie today's initiatives to longer-term strategies and values.
- Create effective detailed reports and Marketing research documents to support internal and external market/customer initiatives.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related degree.
- Four plus years' sales and Marketing of technical materials or customized products that require application development.
- Capable of managing to completion a variety of projects and programs simultaneously and efficiently.
- Ability to be a self-starter and requiring little or no supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of a customer's organization and internal management.
- Strong analytical skills to gather data from multiple sources and report findings.
- Solid understanding of margin analysis, cost drivers, and operational capabilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products.
- Willingness to travel domestic and internationally (up to 30%) and ability to travel to Dura-Bar, in Woodstock, Illinois, as needed.
What we'd prefer:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or related advanced degree.
