Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides subject matter expertise, process improvement, and development/delivery support for Accelerated Technologies (AT) Data Science Products and Care Transformation & Innovation (CT&I) initiatives. Works with the appropriate HCA Healthcare teams and third-party resources as necessary. Analyzes business challenges/opportunities in the context of requirements and recommends development of solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Recommends and assists with implementation of changes to core Data Science Products, current business/clinical processes or workflows, and internal team processes. Works with others to define requirements, design the functional solution, identify and resolve issues, and ensure the solution delivers its intended value.

• Provides expertise in process design, defining and communicating requirements to product development and third parties (as needed), testing solution usability, and providing education/training on solution features.

• Elicits and documents business, user, functional and non-functional requirements and needs.

• Possess excellent communication skills to build strong relationships and interface with various stakeholders from business partners, end users, third-party vendors, and technical staff.

• Be a subject matter expert for assigned products/applications/models, including technical architectures as well as their interaction with end users.

• Participate in requirements validation, user research, market-fit analysis, and feasibility analysis.

• Create high level and detailed design specification to enable development and testing activities.

• Work with teams to estimate work effort required in delivering data products.

• Establish and meet due dates and report status to leadership through appropriate means.

• Report issues to leadership accurately and timeline.

• Support periodic reporting on product development activities as well as product value and success metrics, including data gathering, analysis, and creation of related deliverables.

• Support root cause analysis into opportunities such as low-end user utilization of a feature.

• Lead performance of simple, moderate, and complex process improvement assignments within the team or department.

• Facilitate identification of process improvement opportunities across the development lifecycle.

• Take ownership of responsibilities, working individually or with teams to accomplish goals.

• Provide after-hours/on-call support as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree required. 3+ years of experience required.

• SQL experience required. Tableau and/or PowerBI experience required.

• Understanding of or direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

• Working knowledge of multiple programming languages (Python, Bash, Javascript, etc.)

• Strong understanding of multiple database systems (Teradata, BigQuery, SQL server, etc.)

• Able to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data from different source systems.

• Able to effectively facilitate diverse groups of people in a problem-solving environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills and proven leadership skills working with diverse and complex projects.

• Detail oriented and analytical with good organization skills.

• Must have the ability to prioritize multiple activities and tasks simultaneously and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

• Strong problem and issue resolution experience and create quality deliverables.

• Possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization.

• Highly motivated and be able to work independently with little supervision.
