- Will be responsible for accurate selection of product by voice pick system via Pallet Jack, then stack, wrap, and load pallets onto truck
- Shall be the extension of the Quality Assurance staff by keeping a close eye on the produce selected, examine boxes periodically and reporting product quality issues to management
- Follow food safety and safety procedures while ensuring a safe working environment

- Must be able to remain fully attentive of their work surroundings while working at a steady pace and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work in cold/ environment
- Physically able to perform work for up to 12 hours per day
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Accurately and timely select orders according to pick by voice system,
- Operate a pallet jack retrieve product
- Stock pallets with product, ensuring best utilization of space and paying close attention to safety
- Transport loaded pallets to loading docks and wrap pallets before loading on trucks
- Assist in accurately labeling product
- Periodically examine random boxes of inventory to ensure proper level of quality
- Handle product in a manner consistent with Food Safety procedures and follow company safety policies, and procedures at all times
- Maintain equipment and immediately report malfunctions
- Maintain open communication with various departments and supervisor regarding inadequate inventory, sub-standard product, safety issues, and unfulfilled orders
- Assists in ensuring warehouse maintains cleanliness and a safe working environment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to multi-task, adapt to various work assignments; and follow all safety guidelines
- Must be able to remain fully attentive of their work surroundings while working at a steady pace and meeting deadlines
- Ability to comprehend basic verbal instructions and follow the serpentine flow through the warehouse
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work well with people, be polite and be team work oriented
- Ability to operate equipment used in the movement of product, such as pallet jacks
Education/Experiences
- High school diploma or equivalent to G.E.D. preferred
- Proven experience as an order puller or other warehouse position
- Experience or certification in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Experience in voice picking systems or RF devices
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- The worker must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- The worker is subjected to extreme cold and wetness: Temperatures below 35 degrees for periods of more than hour
- The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level
- The worker must be able to perform the following physical requirements: fingering, grasping, feeling, hearing, talking, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, visual, and repetitive motions
