Responsibilities- Assist departments regarding procurement processes. First point of contact to assist departments with questions and concerns regarding OMNI/PeopleSoft and SpearMart/Jaggaer systems.
- Administrative duties to include phones, mail, filing, calendar management and assisting Chief Procurement Officer or other department personnel with tasks.
- Backup for the management of the campus wide supplier database. This includes day to day entry and maintenance. This involves coordinating with departments, suppliers, Accounts Payable and Controller’s Tax Office.
- PCard proxy for the department. This responsibility includes coding charges for cardholders daily for the department and completing monthly reconciliations.
- Travel representative for the department. This responsibility includes processing travel authorizations and expense reports.
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to three years related to the duties of this position.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience demonstrating excellent and effective customer service, communicating effectively verbally and in writing, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Experience working in an office or knowledge of office practices, procedures and etiquette.
- Knowledge of applicable computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), and basic computer functions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Candidates who can work well independently as well as in a team.
- Strong sense of initiative and the ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with PeopleSoft/OMNI applications.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
- Basic filing practices to include numeric and alphabetic systems.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

The anticipated salary for this position is in the mid $30,000s annually, commensurate with education and experience.
