PROCUREMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST: $60-80K
The Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for sourcing good, materials and services at competitive prices and complete ERP system management for purchasing and inventory.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying and leading analysis to support data-driven decisions about SUPPLY CHAIN risk and vendor performance.
- Developing effective relationships with key suppliers that reflect both a customer and vendor perspective.
- Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Obtaining and providing a detailed assessment of quotes to drive supplier selection for MRO and production supplies.
- Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
- Interface with Operations, Customer Service, Sales and Engineering
- Directs materials planning for made & purchased items based on production demand. Includes use of MRP, as well as determination of appropriate target stock levels, where necessary, based on historical consumption or usage forecasts.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field preferred
- 3 – 5 years of SUPPLY CHAIN and inventory management and sourcing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel
- ERP experience plus data and reporting proficiency
- A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
- Sound time-management and organizational skills
- Demonstrate high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures, test results and processes both internally and externally
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
