Supply Chain Manager
Toyota Material Handling Heavy Duty
Location: East Chicago, IN (On-Site - only 20 miles from downtown Chicago)

What We’re Looking For:
The Supply Chain Manager has primary responsibility for leading a team across strategic sourcing, procurement, and inbound logistics functions for both direct and indirect materials from RFQ to contract negotiation. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, good leadership skills, and considers themselves a go-getter. This person should be comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, operations, finance or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain or operations management
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Advanced negotiation and contract management knowledge
- Demand planning and forecasting experience
What You’ll Do:
- Provide leadership, insight, and direction to a team of Analysts and Buyers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production Control leadership to ensure continuity of supply and minimize production disruptions
- Manage and improve vendor performance metrics across quality, delivery, and cost
- Oversee procurement projects from supplier selection and sourcing through implementation
- Lead cost savings efforts through negotiation, sourcing, and inventory optimization
- Lead negotiations and contract management with vendor partners
- Continually assesses commodity market conditions to monitor potential impact to the Company
