Primary Purpose
Manage fiber supplier relationships and implement fiber procurement transactions. Follow safety best practices and personally engage in safety program. Represent the company in stakeholder interactions. Ensure ethical and honest dealings and follow company policy and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive safety program based on Resolute’s Safety and Health Management System. Ensure your personal safety by following company policy and proactively identifying and avoiding risks.
- Develop and manage supplier and stakeholder relationships. Develop supply chain vendors and carriers for optimal quality and cost balance. Interact positively with suppliers regarding wood fiber supply matters. Proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure Resolute maintains a positive image in the community.
- Complete wood fiber procurement transactions. Follow company procurement policy. Ensure proper authorization of transactions. Operate company computer systems for wood fiber transactions, contract set up and approval. Ensure ethical and honest behavior is followed in dealing with the supply chain.
- Ensure security monitoring over transactions. Ensure physical security over transactions. Ensure physical security over assets through use of technology and internal control measures.
- Assist in fiber procurement budgeting, forecasting and planning process. Work together with manager and controller to perform annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for wood fiber volumes and pricing.
- Certification Management. Ensure the mill is in compliance with certification programs the company maintains.
- Continuous Improvement. Identify and suggest ways to improve your job, and/or company forestry and procurement practices.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in forestry from an accredited college or university
- At least 3 – 4 years’ experience (preferred)
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
