Engine Power, Inc. has a Procurement Assistant position available that reports directly to the Manager – Fulfillment & Inventory Management.
The ideal candidate has a sense of urgency and works well in a team environment using excellent verbal and written communication skills, including business writing. This individual is highly organized and detailed.

The Procurement Assistantwill support the Inventory Management process and team to schedule on-time delivery of products to meet customer requirements while focusing on customer satisfaction.
Some expectations of this position include:
· Replenish materials to support production schedules/customer orders and planning forecasts.
· Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and vendors, with day-to-day contact.
· Research suppliers by collecting prices, specifications, and other data related to materials to enhance profitability.
· Create and manage open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
· Expedite back-ordered, past due, and out-of-stock materials/orders as necessary.
· Work with other departments such as the Warehouse to understand the status of orders.
· Champion company goals and Quality/Continuous Improvement efforts.
Minimum Requirements
· 1-2 years of materials purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
· Ability to learn purchasing procedures and policies.
· Proficiently utilize computer and company-related software as well as Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Office.
