KAA Federal Solutions is Hiring a Procurement Assistant Near Washington, DC

Using research and collaboration, KAA devises and implements strategic solutions that transform administrative services, human resources, financial management, and acquisition.

Currently we have multiple openings for Procurement Assistant position in various levels. The years of experience ranges from 4 to 12 years.

The purpose and effect of the work of the Procurement Assistant is to provide clerical support for pre- and post-award activities to acquire diverse customer requirements covering a wide range of administrative, management, and programmatic services.

Duties and responsibilities including but are not limited to:

1. Demonstrates thorough working knowledge of all administrative support functions within a Federal acquisition operations environment.

2. Performs contract administration including maintenance of filing systems, reports, etc., for the CGM Division.

3. Assists the Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director of CGM with day-to-day contract support activities and special projects.

4. Functions effectively in many administrative roles, including serving as a liaison or point of contact to the acquisition staff, program transaction teams, and external vendors.

5. Performs a variety of administrative support duties to include physical and electronic filing and distribution of contract documents.

6. Researches and assembles information for various reports, briefings, and conferences.

7. Interfaces with the MCC accounts payable agent to ensure that invoices are processed promptly.

8. Coordinates with CGM colleagues to ensure that various award documents are complete.

9. Maintains special records and reports.

10. Performs the full range of administrative work of the office and provides office automation support utilizing knowledge of office automation hardware and software systems to include word processing, electronic calendars, spreadsheets, database management, document scanning, briefing and presentation programs, and other software applications.

11. Performs all assigned duties in a professional, tactful, diplomatic, discreet, and highly efficient manner.

12. Assists Senior Contract Specialist III (SCS III) with MCC FAC-COR/PM Program.

13. Assists with proper record management of CGM files.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Desired – A 4-year course of study leading to a degree in any field or 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizations and management.

Experience:

Four or more years of direct experience in Federal contracting or administrative support position. At least one of these years must be specialized experience equivalent to Federal Government GS-7 grade level that has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills and abilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

1. Knowledge of clerical procedures, filing systems and various references and guidelines commonly used by the staff to organize, locate, and dispose of materials.

2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience performing administrative support in a Federal Government acquisition operations environment.

3. Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively orally and in writing.

4. Ability to perform contract administration support functions.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
