As a Wastewater Treatment Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, operation, and maintenance of our Wastewater Treatment systems, ensuring the efficient and environmentally responsible management of wastewater generated.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize Wastewater Treatment processes to ensure the efficient removal of contaminants, including oil, chemicals, and solids.
- Perform routine monitoring and analysis of Wastewater Treatment processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving the performance and efficiency of Wastewater Treatment systems, including the reduction of energy consumption and waste production.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to the Wastewater Treatment systems, minimizing downtime and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including environmental specialists, maintenance personnel, and regulatory agencies, to ensure proper reporting and compliance with permits.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of environmental impact assessments and sustainability reports.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Wastewater Treatment to enhance system performance and reduce the environmental footprint.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operators involved in Wastewater Treatment operations.
- Provide support for non-routine events including turnarounds, maintenance, troubleshooting, and projects.
- Support the change management process through evaluation of operational and equipment modifications .
- Interface with internal departments and external resources to provide unit support and identify opportunities.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering
- 3 years of experience in a refinery, petrochemical or Wastewater Treatment
- Candidate must have active TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
