Key Responsibilities
- Verify that the machine cycle, cavitation, and set-up parameters are correct prior to start-up.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform any minor mold, machine, and equipment repairs as needed.
- Follow Franklin’s manufacturing quality system.
- Work with QA department to prevent any nonconforming product.
- Adhere to company safety policies as well as OSHA rules and regulations.
- Perform troubleshooting and basic mechanical repairs from process monitoring and part inspections to ensure part conformity and quality.
- Assist in obtaining scheduling targets and communicate possible issues and deviations appropriately.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Possess functional knowledge of injection molds, injection molding machines, and injection molding process.
- Possess a minimum of three years of injection molding experience, including processing.
- Possess basic hand tool knowledge and use experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- RJG certification preferred.
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
- Continually required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Regularly required to sit or stand and to walk.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly subjected to work near moving mechanical parts and to indoor temperature variations in a manufacturing environment.
- Occasionally subjected to fumes or airborne particles, as well as toxic or caustic chemicals.
