MityLite Inc., A leader in the production of durable tables and chairs, is looking for a Plastics Team Lead for the injection molding department.

The candidate will have a minimum of 3 years plastic injection molding experience with a working knowledge of injection molding machines, injection molds and the processing of plastic materials with a focus on PP, ABS, Nylon and Glass filled PP.

Working hours: 3pm- 1:30am Mon- Thur. with some Friday OT possible

This position is responsible for a variety of technical and leadership assignments related to the operations of an injection molding shop. This individual will take on the role of the Team Lead and will have authority to instruct the machine operators in the injection molding processes and assist in machine scheduling with the Value Stream Leader and be a key decision maker for our recruiting and termination process for the production team.

Essential Functions Performed

· Monitors and oversees the technical set up and processing of the injection molding machines.

· Instruct machine operators in duties and responsibilities on the floor.

· Performs and trains mold set up and change overs on the injection molding machines.

· Ensures that the molding machines are set up and running within specified limits.

· Develop, document, and implement standard molding processes.

· Performs trouble shooting and processing to the injection molding machines to produce parts that are within company requirements and quality.

· Responsible to ensure quality of product meets the customer requirements.

· Ensures that the work area, machines, and equipment are operating safely and are clean and orderly.

· Provides technical feedback to engineers and Value Stream Leader on process and tooling problems.

· Understands Injection Molds and their functionality and can perform minor maintenance on the molds including cleaning and mold tear down and assembly.

· Plan and layout work to meet production and scheduling requirements using the NAV MRP system.

· Provides product to our various internal customers in a timely manner.

· Responsible for Inventory level and accuracy and to report production using the NAV system.

· Responsible for production related communication flow between management and production employees.

· Communicates with maintenance concerning repairs and improvements of the IM machines and peripheral equipment.

· Follow Safety rules and procedures.

· Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

Summary of Minimum Qualifications

· A minimum of 3-5 years related injection molding experience.

· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve moderately complex technical problems.

· Ability to effectively train/discipline personnel.

· Ability to work well as a team member and a leader.

· Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, data bases and other applicable software programs. Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word, NAV and Excel programs preferred.

· Attention to detail and good communication skills.

· Ability to read part prints.

· Knowledge of various tooling and testing equipment.

· Knowledge of various materials, processing parameters and material characteristics. (Preferred ABS, PP and Nylon)

· A working knowledge of 5S and Lean Principles
