Process Operator
We are currently seeking the role of Process Operator with responsibility for performing all aspects of processing functions for the extraction, distillation, concentration of the selected material per Batch Records (BRs) while incorporating cGMPs and following all Company SOPs within the Extraction area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate equipment in the process area to perform all related functions.
- Diagnose process and equipment problems/make minor repairs or suggest work orders.
- Work with Maintenance to perform calibrations & lock out tag out equipment as needed.
- Perform any cleaning/housekeeping in the process area on a regular basis to ensure a safe operation and meet cGMP standards & best practices.
- Accurate administrative record keeping such as shift logs, spreadsheets, startup checklists, waste logs, status logs & production reporting.
- Monitor production processes and adjust equipment settings or raw materials inputs as directed or needed to ensure the optimal efficiency in the production processes.
- Perform general product sampling, document results and report findings to crew leader and/or Laboratory personnel.
- Operate various types of mobile equipment.
- Maintains and completes all documentation for work-in-process and BPRs, ensuring all production batches are manufactured according to its specifications and in compliance with all cGMP and company SOP's.
- Completes the setup, loading, operating and cleaning of extractors.
- Uses computers to complete simple data entry.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous production experience is preferred along with basic knowledge of mechanical systems such as pump, valve, boiler, and HVAC/chiller with some understanding of thermodynamics.
- Required minimum of 12 months experience working with automated control systems and HMI’s (Human Machine Interface).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, comprehend & follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to do basic math processes in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to do calculations and conversions using preset formula.

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes the ability to see from a distance and close up. Employee is occasionally asked to move or lift inventory weighing upwards of fifty (50) pounds.
Work Environment
The work environment of this position is in a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
