Help support our nation’s Veterans by joining our high-performance, financial technology team. The Process improvement specialist (App Eng I) facilitates business Process Improvement via the methodical investigation, analysis, review, and documentation of functional business specifications. This resource manages the requirements development process through the elicitation, analysis, specification, and verification of multiple levels of requirements from an end-to-end perspective and supports the ongoing management of the requirements. This Process specialist will also coordinate and manage the implementation and/or integration of products or new features for clients including client training.
This role is 100% remote!
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in SharePoint administration and development, with hands-on experience in configuring SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and permissions.
- Knowledgeable about process mapping and creating process flows in Visio or similar tools
- Proven track record in organizational skills, with the ability to streamline processes, manage resources effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong background in Process Improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Agile, with experience in identifying inefficiencies, analyzing workflows, and implementing solutions for optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across various departments, fostering effective communication and gathering insights to enhance processes.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, actively seeking feedback from stakeholders, monitoring key performance indicators, and iterating on solutions to align with evolving organizational goals.
- Adaptable and versatile, capable of taking on a "catch-all" role, including tasks such as technical writing, documentation review, and quality assurance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams, defining project scope, milestones, and deliverables, and ensuring successful project execution.
- Proficient in change management principles, with the ability to effectively communicate changes, mitigate resistance, and drive adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Skilled in conducting training sessions and workshops to empower team members with new tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in all tasks, from data analysis to documentation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence others, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Results-driven mindset, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and delivering tangible business value through Process Improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems/Technology or engineering discipline preferred and 3 years of relevant experience required; 5 years relevant experience highly preferred!
- 4+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for education
Preferred Experience:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent customer service.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Visio
Target salary range: $75,001 - $85,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
