Role Description
The Manufacturing Operations team at Form is focused on maintaining high-volume manufacturing lines to operate at the highest possible efficiency, quality, and reliability to produce Form Energy's utility-scale multi-day energy storage system. We are looking for entry-level engineers who want to contribute to the new generation of energy storage and manufacturing.
We're hiring hands-on multidisciplinary engineers to join the Manufacturing Operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in helping us optimize and develop future process and equipment to manufacture products at Form Factory 1. Our ideal team members exhibit an ability to creatively identify and solve manufacturing line bottlenecks in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment and should have at least one of the following core skills and experiences: process development engineering, mechanical design engineering, controls engineering, electrical engineering.
What you'll do:

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity. Identify opportunities for automation and implement technological solutions to streamline production workflows.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for recurring issues and implement corrective & preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Feedback challenges in manufacturing to our design engineering and advanced manufacturing counterparts for iteration in future products or designs.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and engineering designs.

What you'll bring:
  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Internship experience in manufacturing desired
  • Machine shop experience and proficiency in CAD a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communicator across a range of engineering and business functions
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
