Procedure Scheduler/ Receptionist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Ø Schedule and assist in the coordination of patient procedures, office visits, and referrals

  Ø Return patient calls and answer questions regarding procedures

  Ø Prepare and disperse procedure and informational forms to patients

  Ø Coordinate and account for all patient blue-sheets

  Ø Follow insurance guidelines and policy and procedure when scheduling

  Ø Explain insurance benefits and collect co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay portions due if needed while assisting the receptionist.

  Ø Improve patient satisfaction through consistently representing the company professionally and cross trained to support multiple functions across all patient and payer types

  Ø Provide excellent customer service to all patients, guests, and family members.

  Ø Assist with completing/distributing paperwork, entering pertinent patient information into the electronic medical record

  Ø Multi task and cross train to be available to assist in other areas as needed.

  Ø Independently maintains and works from the electronic medical record and additional databases

  Ø Obtains information necessary to complete the scheduling of an order including the presence of implanted devices, stints, and hardware when scheduling for imaging

  Ø Responds professionally to all inquiries from patients & staff in a timely manner

  Ø Accurately documents patient accounts of all actions taken

  Ø Identify opportunities for process improvement for receipt of data and reporting

  Ø Ability to meet established deadlines timely, accurately and with a sense of urgency

  Ø Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

  Ø Other duties as assigned.
