Pro Dog Walker | 10-30 hours | West Hartford, CT

David's Pet Services (DPS) is West Hartford, CT's largest and most successful Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Company that uses employees (no independent contractors!).

At DPS, our W2 employees' well-being is our priority:

• All client pets are vetted to ensure they are not aggressive.
• You're trained in-house.
• You get liability and workers compensation insurance.
• We also have fun; even though you mostly work by yourself (and with furry friends), you'll get to chat with clients in their home, you'll be in close communication with our managers, and we have staff parties too.

Day to day, this is what working for DPS looks like:

• After training, you will visit multiple homes in our service area, completing 20, 30, or 45 minute visits back-to-back.
• Mostly, it is to provide dogs an exhaustive walk, but sometimes it's playtime with puppies, slower let-outs for older dogs and the occasional cat or bunny sit.
• 90% of visits are in West Hartford and the West End of Hartford, with a few others very close by.

The entire day is very rewarding; it's the healthiest thing you can possibly do for your body during a work day. Say goodbye to sitting in front of a computer for hours and say hello to exercise, soaking up Vitamin D, and adding years to your life. Getting paid to be healthy and playing with cute animals? Does it get any better than that?

Full / Part Time:

• Part-Timers will do about 3-7 dog walks (8,000-14,000 steps) and;
• Full-Timers will complete about 7-14 dog walks (12,000 - 25,000 steps) per day.
• We are looking for two people to work ~10-20 hours/week or one person to work ~20-30 hours/week.
• Looking for as many hours as possible? Become part of our team now and in a few months your schedule might be filled to the brim.

Payment:

• You are paid a wage and mileage reimbursement from our company, and tips from the majority of our customers.
• With wages and tips, you will always make a minimum of $17/hr. (if you don't, DPS will make up the difference).
• However, $17/hr. is a conservative estimate. Your hourly wage will usually be ~$18-$20/hour depending on length of visits, extra dogs, and amount of tips.
• As you grow with our company and receive raises (regularly), that number will go up as well.
• Please note, your hourly calculation does not include mileage reimbursement, that is extra. :)
• Full timers receive a minimum (with room to grow) of three days PTO (7 hours x $17) and, if needed, you are offered dental insurance as well.
