Due to the nature of the ASC, the Registered Nurse may be required to fulfill more than one role. RN's must be flexible and cross train to other areas (i.e. pre-operative and post anesthesia recovery).
The pre-operative nurse is responsible for preparing the patient for the operating room. This includes assessment of the physical and psychological status of the patient as well as accurately completing the admission and pre-operative documentation.
The PACU nurse is responsible for the care of the post-operative patient. It is the responsibility of the PACU nurse to ensure the patient is stable and meets all requirements to be safely discharged as well as accurately completing the post-operative documentation.
Monday to Friday. No weekends. RN license and BLS Certification required. 1 year of experience preferred.
