Title: Inpatient PRN Recreational Therapist
Location: Pocatello, ID onsite- Inpatient Behavioral Heallth Unit
Hours: Every 3rd weekend + some week days as needed

As PMC’s Inpatient Recreational Therapist, your focus will be on the 3Cs; Care, Community and Compliance.
- Care: Organize patient activities and patient contact to reinforce cognitive stimulation, to encourage socialization and promote self-initiative. Train Mental Health staff to carry out activities when the Recreational Therapist is not present. Fill in for program staff as needed.
- Community: Plan community education events; including thematic decoration and special events. Cultivate a team culture of kindness and accountability, promoting a positive, calm, joyful environment throughout the units.
- Compliance: Create weekly schedules that meet CMS guidelines and provide therapeutic benefit for the patients. Develop and implement therapeutic activities for small and large groups based on participant’s level of functioning. Exercise accountability for patients and staff safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation - required
- CTRS Certification - required
- One-year experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting - preferred
- Basic computer knowledge - preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills - preferred
- Current CPR - provided
- Handle with Care Training - provided
