We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Nurse to join our team, providing essential support in Personal Care services within a home care/aide service business. As a PRN Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their healthcare needs, collaborating with caregivers, and ensuring the highest standards of care in a home setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessment of new clients.
- Develop the Plan of Care for new clients and updates
- Monitor and assess patient's condition and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Conduct 90-day visits for clients and once annually with the aide present
- Manage in-home aides, companion, sitter and respite services/employees
- Verify competencies of Aids and Companion Sitters by demonstration
- Onboard and supervise new in-home aides and companions
- Document that the aides, companion and sitters are competent to perform client care tasks or activities to which they are assigned
Requirements:
- Valid and current RN license in the state of North Carolina
- CPR & 1st aid certified, good standings on nurse registry
-1-3 years of nursing experience (home care experience, preferred)
- Supervisory skills, a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments
- Knowledge of assisted living regulations and best practices
Schedule: This is a PRN (as needed) position, offering flexibility in scheduling. The candidate will be required to work on an on-call basis, as per the business's needs and the client load.
