SalaryFamily with formal household on UES of NYC is looking for a full-time housekeeper. Monday 11:30am - 7:30pm (8hrs), Tuesday 11:30-7:30 (8hrs), Wednesday 2:30-7:30 (5hrs), Thursday 2:30-7:30 (5), Friday 1030-7:30 (9) = 37 hours per week, will guarantee 40hrs if needed. 3 persons in home regularly, including 7 year-old. 2 older children in 20’s that only visit. Travel to Hamptons starting June 30th every year through Labor Day. Monday arrival via train or by 11am and depart Friday at 3pm. Looking for experienced housekeeper with detailed, meticulous cleaning skills, very organized, experienced in laundry, ironing +sheets, preparing food as needed and helping make dinner for young child when parents are out; this is a busy household but mom helps a lot and in Hamptons it’s busier and live-in. Same role but they’re not responsible for preparing meals for entire family, just child as needed and as a team with mom or grandmother, must be good communicator and comfortable working with others. When in Hamptons, help setting table, hosting others and making sure their rooms are ready, cleaned etc. Polishing silver and handling china, art, fine goods and know the cleaning products and what to use is very important. Mostly tidying up after kids, daily housekeeping, laundry and attention to patio and outdoor area in Hamptons when there, after guests etc. Must swim if needed or emergency Time management and ability to manage when to clean rooms at appropriate times. Hamptons home is 5,000 Sq ft. 6 beds 6 baths. Apartment in NYC is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. 75k per year: $35 per hour, 3 weeks paid vacation, monthly metro card provided, if additional hours worked, they’re paid, will receive annual bonus based on performance. Private room with attached bathroom provided when in Hamptons.
