Private Duty Caregiver

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate caregiver with a passion for helping a young adult live a successful life. The ideal candidate for our caregiver position has a experience in assisting special needs children and young adults with autism, autistic behaviors and seizures. They are capable of providing physical care and emotional support. We're looking for someone who communicates effectively and has experience performing tasks such as medication administration, personal care, assist with feeding, and driving. We have weekend hours available. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN/CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES OR YOUNG ADULTS WITH DIABILITIES AND BEHAVIORS. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with medications
• Personal and showers, maintain a bathroom routine
• Assist with meal prep and feeding as needed.
• Drive the client to activities as needed.
• Maintain a safe and cheerful environment.
• Understand seizure protocols.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 28 per week

Experience:

• working with children with special needs: 1 year (Preferred)
