Job Description
Expanding direct mail printing and marketing communication company in the Portland area is searching to add a Sales Manager to their management team. This is a newly created position due to company growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Engage in sales activities, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales.
- Help build business relationships in new markets.
- Attend trade shows and association meetings to generate new business opportunities.
- Hire, mentor, and build the sales team.
- Direct, train and mentor sales staff in the process and methods required to achieve company sales objectives.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Maintain relationships with personal accounts.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years' sales experience in the direct mail printing industry.
- Minimum 5 years' sales leadership experience in the printing industry.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Proven track record of developing and closing new business opportunities.
- Proven track record developing and implementing a successful sales program.
- Great communication, negotiating and closing skills.
- Strong business and marketing acumen.
- PC proficient.
