Printing Sales Manager

Expanding direct mail printing and marketing communication company in the Portland area is searching to add a Sales Manager to their management team. This is a newly created position due to company growth.
Responsibilities include:

• Engage in sales activities, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales.
• Help build business relationships in new markets.
• Attend trade shows and association meetings to generate new business opportunities.
• Hire, mentor, and build the sales team.
• Direct, train and mentor sales staff in the process and methods required to achieve company sales objectives.
• Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
• Maintain relationships with personal accounts.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 5 - 7 years' sales experience in the direct mail printing industry.
• Minimum 5 years' sales leadership experience in the printing industry.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Proven track record of developing and closing new business opportunities.
• Proven track record developing and implementing a successful sales program.
• Great communication, negotiating and closing skills.
• Strong business and marketing acumen.
• PC proficient.
