This training program is designed to teach the skills necessary to operate a wide range of press and finishing equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a continuous improvement mindset and is detail oriented. This is a full-time, paid position to prepare for a career as a Press Operator.
Requirements, minimum education level, and experience:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2-3 + years-experience in production environment
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage production runs
- Flexibility to work non-routine shifts as required including nights and weekends.
- Must be able to use the tools and equipment associated with the printing process.
- Must be able to discern color (cannot be color-blind)
- Basic Computer Skills
- Understanding of Machinery
- Ability to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and applies good mathematical reasoning.
- Ability to follow instructions of different leads
- Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
- Ability to follow procedures within a defined structure yet have a willingness to try new ideas
- Positive work attitude and demonstrated willingness to cooperate.
- Urgency to meet deadlines
- Must have a desire to grow in a company that offers endless growth opportunities
- Must have a good and professional attitude at all times
- Constant standing and/or moving around
- Ability to ascend steps
- Manual dexterity
- Frequently lift up to 40 lbs.
- Occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
- Frequently squat or kneel
- Frequently bend
MUST be open to all shifts.
Starting wage $16.00-$20.00 per hour.
