The Team You’ll Work With
At the Mayor’s Print Shop, our mission is to provide top quality printed matter to all the units of the
Mayor’s Office and executive staff. We are responsible for providing all the units of the Mayor’s Office
with high-quality, creative, and timely printed matter including posters, business cards, stationery,
brochures, reports, and invitations to Mayoral events.
The Problems You’ll Solve
Under the supervision of the Print Shop Manager, the Print Shop Assistant will be responsible for
performing several key duties within the office including but not limited to:
- Operate industrial paper-cutter, perfect binder, digital copiers, laminator, slitter/scoring
- machine, 3-hole punch machine, booklet maker and folding machines.
- Print on digital color copiers.
- Cut paper accurately from 26” x 40” for stock & printing.
- Check for completeness and accuracy of print jobs and fine-tune for best possible result.
- Clean and maintain all bindery equipment monthly.
- Operate electrical pallet jack & manual pallet jack to move skids of paper.
About You
- You have a four-year high school diploma or educational equivalent.
- Must have previous experience with printing and binding.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Graphic designing skills are a plus.
Salary
The City of New York Office of the Mayor’s compensation package includes a market competitive
salary, equity for all full-time roles and exceptional benefits. Our cash compensation range for this role
is $55,000 to $62,000.
Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on candidate experience and expertise, and other
factors.
