About
SquadLocker’s Print Production Artist will be responsible for preparing digital files for print, bringing logos to life in a way that is compatible with our printing and embroidery techniques. Daily, you will be required to edit, proof and prepare files and logos for application on various products including jerseys, t-shirts, hats, bags and more.
A critical role in our production workflow, the Print Production Artist will ensure that logos are of high quality, accurately represent the original designs and meet customer expectations and SquadLocker standards.
Responsibilities
- File Preparation: Using Adobe Illustrator, prepare and check digital files for printing, including formatting, accuracy, sizing, and color.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on returned files from third party vendors to ensure files meet SquadLocker print standards.
- Flag items to be edited and fix files as needed
- Proofread, and ensure files are correctly formatted for the printing press
- Color Management: Manage color consistency and accuracy across various printing processes, ensuring that colors match the original design and brand standards
- Logo Editing: Edit and retouch logos as needed, ensuring they are suitable for print and enhancing overall visual appeal
- Collaboration: Parter with Graphic Designers, Printers and Sales team members to ensure that print projects meet client requirements and deadlines
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of graphic design or production art experience
- Portfolio showcasing previous print projects and demonstrating proficiency in layout design, typography, color theory and other relevant skills
- BA in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Design, related field or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Familiarity with prepress processes, color management and file preparation for printing
- Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in layout, typography, color and image quality
- Experience working in a deadline-drive environment
- Production Art background preferred
