Principal SEO - US
We are looking for an experienced and driven SEO professional to join our growing global SEO team and work with a cross-functional leaders to formulate, prioritize, and execute on-page SEO strategies for two well-known cybersecurity brands in the US, helping to drive traffic growth and enhance our online presence. This is not a fully remote position and will require 3 days a week in our Tempe, AZ headquarters.
As a Principal SEO, you'll have a proven track record in on-page and content pillars of SEO, thrive in a fast-paced environment, are comfortable working with multiple subject matter experts across different locations, and are passionate about delivering outstanding results. The right candidate will be able to contribute meaningful input and recommendations to cross-functional web initiatives, provide curated insights and recommendations to protect or improve organic rankings, deliver website action plans that minimize or negate SEO risk, review proposed site changes from different stakeholders, and perform meaningful analysis in traffic shifts. You'll report directly to the Global SEO Manager and work with passionate distributed SEO experts across the globe.
Key responsibilities:
  • 3 days a week minimum in our Tempe, AZ office
  • Actively participate in remote, cross-channel Web Squad meetings, including virtual stand-ups, sprint planning, prioritization, ticket reviews, and retrospectives, fostering effective communication and collaboration within the remote team for all recommended changes occurring on the site.
  • Grow and improve the performance of our natural search traffic for our core websites and blogs
  • Branded and nonbrand keyword research and drafting outlines for copywriters while ensuring no duplicate content or cannibalization risk is present across each domain
  • Find new content opportunities that drive traffic, optimize content pieces for maximum visibility and help develop our content hubs and blogs
  • Facilitate insightful discussions, encouraging diverse perspectives and leveraging the expertise of the squad members.
  • Participate in draft plan reviews, assign business value to team objectives, and approve final plans
  • Work with global teams to share insights and learnings that can improve performance in other key international markets
  • Work closely with developers, copywriters, product marketing managers, designers, dev product managers, IT, and external agencies to improve current web pages and to create new ones

  • Collaborate with product managers to ensure alignment of shared goals, priorities, and roadmaps
  • Monitor and analyze organic traffic, rankings and website performance metrics; respond rapidly to issues and opportunities; report regularly to Management and other stakeholders
  • Ensure we capitalize on important changes in search (semantic search, AI/machine learning, voice/cross-device search, etc.)
  • Evangelize SEO throughout the organization and build SEO into cross-departmental processes

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of SEO experience
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work cross functionally; verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to actively participate in remote Web Squad meetings, collaborating effectively during US business hours. Flexibility to meet with colleagues in central Europe and other time zones occasionally.
  • Strong tactical skills and acute strategic instincts
  • Proven track record of driving SEO projects from inception to completion
  • Ability to drive clear, thoughtful and comprehensive analyses of SEO performance using tools of the trade
  • Strong analytic skills (experience with Adobe Analytics preferred) and the ability to identify actionable insights from large datasets
  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel, content management systems, html and important web technologies, ScreamingFrog, Google Search Console
  • Deep understanding of how design, UX and Social Media can impact SEO
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a flexible approach to work
  • Detail-oriented, organized, results-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently with only directional supervision
