Principal Solution Architect

Job Summary:
Altair is looking for a highly motivated and energetic Principal Solutions Architect to join the Consulting team. We are looking for those with the ability to navigate and adapt in a fast-paced environment and help develop solutions, implement, and integrate into varied environments. This person will work with customers to understand their issues, develop solutions utilizing our Products, scope the effort, and lead the project execution and customer implementation.
What You Will Do:
• Work with Account Managers and Business Development to find project opportunities and be the technical expert face to the customer
Understand customer issues and develop solutions that address those issues utilizing Altair products across Simulation, Data Analytics, and HPC.
Develop proposals and present to customers
Lead a project team of consultants including Engineers and Data Scientists to execute the project
Resolve technical issues and manage expectations with the customer
Collaborate with Software Product Development on future enhancements/features
Develop collateral on solution offerings for internal and external selling
Mentor junior technical personnel
What You Will Need:
10 years of Engineering experience in Product Development and Manufacturing environment
5 years of Data Analytics and Data Science experience
Project Management experience
Comfortable dealing with customers and managing expectations
Knowledge of data architecture, data processing, data base systems, and cloud implementations
Basics:
Self Learner willing to learn our suite of products and industry trends
CAE understanding and how it's applied in the product development process
System Modeling and MBSE
Applications of Data Science
Cloud technologies
Programing languages
Preferred:
Digital Twin experience
Smart Factory experience
Production deployment of Data Science/Analytics models
