Job Summary
The IAM Senior Software Engineer is a primary force in designing and implementing solutions to transform the way the University of Utah and University of Utah Health achieve our missions. This role will require a thinker, a creator, a dreamer, a true technical wizard. This role is a leader in the effort to improve our security and privacy efforts and digitally transform both. As part of the Information Security Office, security is always on your mind, and you're constantly looking for ways to improve the way we work. You find problems and fix them, within the standards of a large and mature organization. You'll work with stakeholders to identify business needs and then with other IT and security colleagues to design the best possible solutions for their requests. You find ways to improve on their ideas, and you're not happy with a satisfied customer - you want a delighted customer. You find or create solutions that do this as safely and securely as possible. This position will require some after-hours/weekend work to accommodate the change schedules permitted by the business but allows the right person location and scheduling flexibility and the support to build a work-life integration that fits. The ideal candidate is passionate about this work, a self-starter, capable of working closely with others, including in geographically dispersed environments. You'll work with a team of very smart, very capable colleagues, a wide variety of world class tools, and you'll do it for a leading health care and higher education entity. Yes, we're kind of looking for a superhero. Is this you?
