Primary Responsibilities:
The Principal Engineer role for Digital Requirements Engineering and Management is recognized as the primary authority for Digital Requirements both inside and outside FM&T while serving as a key technical resource for FM&T. This highly visible and technical role will have responsibility for working with the Center of Excellence Leads and Management to integrate KCNSC's digital requirements maps across all phases of our product's life cycles. Extensive experience with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS NEXT) or similar requirements mapping software is essential to lead these initiatives for KCNSC. They will also partner with leaders to drive Center of Excellence and Chiefs Council initiatives.

You Must Have:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Energy Q-Level Clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship
- Ten or more years of experience in engineering or related technical activities
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program or Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from and accredited program.
We Value:
- Prior experience in understanding and assessing the mapping of Product requirements to product functionality and test validation.
- Experience using DOORs, DOORs NEXT, or other Requirements Mapping Software.
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interface effectively with support organizations and internal customers and exercise judgment to determine appropriate action.
- Proven ability in decision making and organization, planning and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision making.
- Ability to plan and organize, demonstrate excellent time management and support several projects at once.
