GE Appliances' Principal National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for achieving sales and margin growth goals with a portfolio of Specialty & Department Store National Accounts. The candidate will manage all aspects (including the sales, marketing, and operations) of the customer experience, increase sales and margin to achieve assigned budgets, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute a National Account sales growth plan for their customer portfolio.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Sales Leadership & Account Management

  • Own the design, development, negotiation, and execution of account plans to achieve sales and margin objectives for assigned accounts.
  • Cultivate new opportunities for growth within Specialty & Department Store channel via assortment planning and reviews, leveraging promotional pricing roadmap, ensuring excellent execution with both in-store/virtual shelves, executing new product launches, and forging meaningful customer partnerships.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Plan and lead in-person and virtual customer meetings to ensure progress vs. sales and margin targets.
  • Conduct frequent market visits to ensure national plans translate to local execution & offer associate product training

Marketing, Merchandising & Operational Excellence
  • Partner with customers and Product Teams to deliver winning online and in-store merchandising execution, including catalog management.
  • Manage wholesale price sheet, promotional plans, M/Cs and MAP Bulletins and translate into customer-required formats including vendor portal uploads and/or Excel templates. Communicate all information to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage backside budgets, submitting & tracking all reimbursement requests and payments (i.e. promotional support, advertising, etc.), working with Finance & other teams (as necessary) to reduce chargebacks and to ensure appropriate program management.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Directors & Product Marketing Managers to maximize effectiveness of customer marketing investment. This may include managing customer-level media budget in support of sales plan delivery, for select accounts.
  • Partner with Logistics (Fulfillment & Order Management) on demand planning inputs, attainment of OTIF (on time, in full) goals, and occasional customer post-sales requests.

Customer Relationship Management & Advocacy
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders to build trust and unlock opportunities.
  • Represent all customer needs, including go-to-market strategy and operational capabilities.
  • Present customer strategy and requirements at internal review meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective implementation of sales and marketing initiatives.

What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of commercial experience, preferably in sales/account management. Will consider those with customer-facing marketing, customer operations or retail/.com buying experience.
  • Strong analytical skills & understanding of retail financial metrics, to inform future planning and to enable development of retail analytics models and go-to-market sales presentations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, along with ability to negotiate win-win business plans.
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, and customer-first environment requiring cross-functional collaboration and meeting customer timelines.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Travel: 30-40% travel required for quarterly customer meetings, frequent market visits, trade shows, or internal company planning meetings, including nights and occasional weekends

Desired Characteristics/Qualifications
  • Experience in leading and growing brands with Specialty and Department Store retailers like Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, Sur La Table, Macy's, etc. or .com retailers.
  • Kitchen Electrics industry experience a plus.
  • Project management experience a plus.
