The successful candidate will join our Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) engineering team in developing environmental testing solutions to support some of the most advanced systems in the U.S. and our allies' arsenal. These include sensors for air dominance platforms (such as the F-22, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, F-16, SABR), bomber and strike programs (such as B-1B), airborne / maritime / ground-based missions (E-3 AWACS, E-7 MESA, TPS-80 G/ATOR, SEWIP, EA-18 Growler, Empire Builder, and UAV systems such as Triton, Global Hawk), as well as restricted programs and missions.
As an integral part of our Test Design Group, you will be responsible for supporting environmental, thermal and vibration testing of our Advanced Multifunction Sensor products. This position requires a majority onsite presence.
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and support equipment cooling and vibration test designs
  • Determine task schedules and levels of effort needed to meet program goals
  • Communicate technical capabilities and analyses with internal stakeholders and external customers

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • U.S Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience with writing and maintaining design specifications
  • Familiarity with schematics and CAD tools like Siemens Nx and ACAD
  • Familiarity with test design, maintenance, repair of cooling or vibration test systems for electronics assemblies
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and interconnect diagrams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical fields.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher

This position is contingent upon acquiring or transfer of DoD Secret Clearance.
Salary Range: $93,000.00 - $139,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
