Center 1 (19052), United States of America, McLean, Virginia Principal Associate, Capital One Trade Credit - Sales Development Representative

Capital One Trade Credit provides a proven and uniquely differentiated full-service AR solution to enterprise-scale clients. We help grow and protect merchants by providing flexible Net 30, Net 60, and Net 90 term financing options for their business buyers, with the seamless B2B payment experience they expect. Merchants are paid upfront for transactions, are protected from credit and fraud risk, and are able to upgrade to a digital first, tech-enabled customer experience for their buyers. Capital One Trade Credit partners with hundreds of merchants across verticals throughout the United States.. Merchants can offer their business customers an extended terms account that is instantly-decisioned and available for near-immediate use and one that can be underwritten on the business entity (vs. personal credit). These accounts feature payment terms up to 90 days, credit lines up to and beyond $1M where needed, billing and payment reconciliation tailored to business expectations, and online digital self servicing. Capital One Trade Credit is looking to aggressively grow its business by adding new enterprise clients and distribution partners.


ABOUT THE ROLE:


In this Principal Associate, Sales Development Representative (SDR) role, we are seeking a top performing associate who is eager to drive growth and refine strategy for the nation’s only modern-tech, Trade Credit platform that has enterprise scale. This critical position in an exciting and rapidly changing industry has substantial strategic importance to Capital One. This position will report directly to the Director, Acquisition Marketing and dotted line report to the Vice President, Business Development. This associate will deftly manage highly strategic and sophisticated sales processes in the pursuit of new enterprise clients with >$1B in annual sales.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop sales qualified leads from our targeted account-based list through research, outbound prospecting, and inbound marketing lead follow up using a range of sales and marketing tools.

  • Schedule qualified discovery meetings/product demos for the BD team to lead.

  • Follow up with inbound leads in a timely manner as outlined in our SLA.

  • Represent Capital One Trade Credit at industry trade shows and other events

  • Gain a deep understanding of target industries –what are their challenges and goals and how do they differ - and incorporate this learning into sales and marketing tools and processes in collaboration with BD and marketing.

  • Collaborate with and leverage marketing and BD team members to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities.

  • Create excellent templates for emails, phone calls, and social outreach and constantly test & iterate to improve them, following internal well-managed processes.

  • Work closely with marketing to provide insights and results of marketing campaigns.

  • Meticulously manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience

  • At least 5 years Inside Sales, Business Development or Sales Development experience

  • At least 2 years of experience prospecting to Fortune 2000 accounts at the C level and other senior business decision maker level

  • At least 2 years of experience using Salesforce

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a B2B role for an enterprise software or FinTech company providing SAAS/Cloud solutions


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • At least 2 years experience with credit-related financial products

  • High level of energy, drive, passion, initiative, dedication and integrity

  • Consistent track record for meeting and exceeding lead generation, forecasting and sales objectives

  • Experience with marketing automation tools such as Pardot/Account Engagement, Marketo, Hubspot
