Title: Principal Architect Project Manager (Healthcare and Education Projects)

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Principal Architect Project Manager specializing in healthcare and education projects to join our SoCal team in the Irvine, CA office. The ideal candidate possesses excellent leadership skills, proven project management expertise, and an in-depth understanding of healthcare and education design's specific requirements and challenges. As the Principal Architect Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading project teams, overseeing the entire project lifecycle, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead project teams in the planning, designing, and implementing healthcare and education projects, ensuring adherence to project objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
2. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and design teams to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client vision and goals.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans, closely monitoring progress and taking proactive measures to address any potential issues or bottlenecks.
4. Oversee the preparation and review of design and construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
5. Manage and coordinate project consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and timely delivery of project milestones.
6. Conduct regular project progress meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or challenges that may arise.
7. Uphold quality standards by implementing rigorous quality control processes, conducting regular on-site inspections, and ensuring adherence to architectural and engineering best practices.
8. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, mentoring and supporting team members to achieve their full potential and enhance their professional growth.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory developments related to healthcare and education design, incorporating innovative solutions into project designs where applicable.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
2. Licensed Architect in the state of California and experience with OSHPD/HCAi required.
3. Minimum of 10 years of experience working as a Project Manager, with a focus on healthcare and education projects.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion.
5. Strong knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards governing healthcare and education design.
6. Proficiency in project management software, SketchUp modeling, AutoCAD, and Revit/BIM; Adobe Design Suite + other design software.
7. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
8. Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget, while ensuring high-quality design and construction outcomes.
9. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to think strategically and manage competing priorities.

Qualifications – The Must-Haves (Required)

  • California Licensed Architect with recent HCAI experience
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat

Qualifications – The Like-to-Haves (Not Required)

  • Minimum of 15 years architectural project experience
  • LEED or WELL accreditation
  • LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
