Duties and Responsibilities:
As a crucial team member, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Conducting assessments of clients using standardized or evidence-based assessment tools, following DSM 5 guidelines for diagnosing substance disorders.
- Reviewing previous records to inform current treatment effectively.
- Collaborating with clients to create client-centered, recovery-oriented treatment plans with clear goals and measurable objectives.
- Monitoring clients' progress according to ASAM PPC-2R throughout treatment, determining the need for continued services or discharge/transfer.
- Regularly updating and revising the substance abuse counseling portion of clients' treatment plans to address emerging issues.
- Coordinating with referral sources and providing case consultation to ensure comprehensive client care.
- Participating actively in multidisciplinary teams for holistic client support.
- Accurately documenting counseling services, assessments, referrals, and follow-ups in compliance with protocols and regulations.
- Serving as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Clinical Director.
- Demonstrating expertise in substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and associated co-morbidities.
- Familiarity with the 12-Step Recovery program and its implementation.
- Adhering to all applicable Federal, State, and Regional regulations, including Accreditation standards for the treatment of Substance Use Disorders, confidentiality, patient rights, ethics, and anti-discrimination practices.
Requirements:
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Master's Level education in a relevant field
Licenses and Certifications:
- Licensed or Registered Intern with the state of New Jersey (LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW)
- LCADC/ Masters level ADC Intern
