Elementary Classroom Teacher

• Instruct students in the areas of Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Bible using appropriate content standards (CCSS for Reading, LA and Math)
• Plan, prepare and deliver effective and engaging instructional activities
• Effectively differentiate teaching and learning to meet the needs of all students
• Effectively utilize technology resources for teaching and learning
• Create projects designed to support and enhance learning
• Create positive educational climate for students to learn in
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
• Provide regular feedback to students and evaluate students’ performance using standards-based assessments
• Meet course and school-wide student performance goals
• Create unit plans and modify accordingly throughout the year
• Post weekly lesson plans online
• Maintain online grade books on a weekly basis (Standards Based Grading)
• Utilize various curriculum resources that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds of the students served
• Provide additional support for students on an individual basis as needed
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by using consistent and effective classroom management strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents
• Participate in weekly professional development
• Uphold Christian character and values
• Participate in school-wide events
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Current IL Teacher Licensure
• Minimum of three years successful classroom teaching experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree (required)
• Master’s Degree in Education (preferred)
• Proficient technology skills
• Strong instructional skills, including oral and written communication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
