1 Year Contract
$120 per hour

Contractor shall provide Board Certified Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, OR Family Practice Physician Services on site, in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the James E. Van Zandt VAMC. A contractor will provide onsite physician services that meet or exceed the guidelines for care in the UCC, Hospital and CLC areas.
Board Certification - All contractor's physician (s) shall be Board Certified in one of the three disciplines-Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine, and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency. All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be always kept up to date. Documentation verifying current certification shall be provided by the Contractor to the VA COR on an annual basis for each year of task order performance.
Contractor physicians shall have recent (within the last 3 years) experience in the Urgent Care Clinic or Emergency Room.
Contracted physicians shall be technically proficient in intubation and provide appropriate documentation related to this competency both at their initial onboarding and at re-credentialing.

Monday - Friday Daylight:
Shifts are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Monday - Friday Overnight (excluding holidays):
Shifts are 16 hours
Shifts are 4:15 p.m. - 8:15 a.m.
UCC, Inpatient Unit, CLC coverage, Hospitalist rounds.
Saturday & Sunday & Holidays (weekend and holidays):
Shifts are 24 hours
From 8:15 a.m. - 8:15 p.m. UCC, Inpatient Unit, CLC coverage, Hospitalist rounds. From 8:15 p.m. - 8:15 a.m. UCC, Inpatient Unit, CLC coverage, Hospitalist rounds.
Rounds (Hospitalist duties) are conducted in the morning on the weekends by the physician that worked the previous even shift ending at 8:15 a.m. In the case where there was no Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) scheduled on the Friday overnight shift to Saturday a.m., the contracted MOD will be required to complete those morning rounds in addition to covering the UCC.
