Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Nashville based junior Derivative Valuation Analyst to join our Pricing & Valuations team in Global Technology & Operations. The analyst will work closely with various internal teams and external parties to independently and accurately calculate an end of the day valuation for OTC Derivatives.
Team/Group Description
The Pricing & Valuations team supports most core functions at AB including Global Fund Accounting, Client Reporting and Performance, Portfolio Management, Legal and Compliance, and Financial Reporting. Pricing is responsible for timely and accurate valuations of all assets held in client accounts. The data distributed by this team effects daily valuation, Mutual Fund NAV's, regulatory reporting, financial reporting, and trading.
Role Description
The Derivative Valuation Analyst will be responsible for the core daily pricing function within AB Pricing Group in respect to OTC Derivatives.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to
  • Run daily derivative pricing processes for internal books & records and external NAV calculation within strict deadlines.
  • Validate daily automated pricing across all derivatives; investigate missing, stale and outside of tolerance levels and raise to an appropriate internal or external stakeholders in a timely fashion.
  • Be a primary point of contact for derivative valuation issues responding to inquiries from both internal (Derivative Operations, Pricing Oversight, Risk, Portfolio Management, Audit) and external (Vendors, Custodians, Counterparties, Audit) client inquiries and respond in timely, detailed, and professional manner.
  • Work very closely with IT and External Vendors to develop enhancements and applications to continually improve pricing process.
  • Implement and continuously improve quality standards and controls to ensure timely and accurate pricing.
  • Search and implement the low cost reliable second source pricing measures to enhance the existing Quality Control.
  • Hybrid attendance (at least 3 days in the office are required)

The role will provide exposure to a wide range of OTC financial instruments and asset types, which will provide a varied and challenging environment in which to work and grow. Additionally, on a day to day basis, they will interact with other teams in operations - giving a hands-on understanding in operations within a multi-billion dollars asset management company. Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Strong math aptitude and attention to detail

Skills
  • Good communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Prior directly relevant experience is a plus
  • Programming skills are a plus
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
